Intro
Abit Trader was a Crypto utility payment app with features that include crypto exchange/trade, paying bills and a wallet for storing crypto assets. The client had other apps/products which he wanted to fuse into one app. We were going to do a rebrand of the current app with a whole new set of features.
The mission was to turn this app into a multifunctional app using the already existing structure.
Identifying the Problem
I wasn’t allowed to change the overall design of the app, only to add the new set of features.

After doing a UX analyses it was apparent that I needed to fix a couple of problems in order to make this new app easy and fun to use. I needed to work on the following:
Navigation, Visual Aid, Information Architecture and Graphic Design.

The solution
The old navigation was designed for an app with not that much features. In order to maintain a fluid navigation experience, I had to modify the navigation system.
Tatspace - New home screen & Nav
  • Home screen redesign:
I rearranged the old home screen to fit in quick links for the new features

  • Features Grouping:
In order to maintain coherence, I grouped similar features together using keywords. This would help users sort through the numerous features easily and get to what the want in seconds.
  • Sectioning:
Since this project was about merging different apps into one, using the brand colors from these apps was a way to maintain familiarity from the old users. It also visually aided the users, informing them about there current location in the app.

The new features added still needed some cleanup. A lot of work was put into each of them, using the above listed as guide. In the end, we ended up with clean, colorful and simple multipurpose app.
